Picture the Past - “Picturesque Colorado: Railroad Advertising Photographs of Early Colorado” is an exhibit of vintage photographs running through May 31 at the Byers-Evans House Museum (1310 Bannock Street, Denver, 80204). Admission is free, so don’t miss your chance to witness the early intersection of photography, railroads and tourism. Open up to Art- Which would you like first, the good news or the bad news? The bad news is that the Colorado Art Open 2009, which began on April 4, closes up shop at the end of May. The good news is you still have time to catch a diverse cross section of artists and mediums. Head to the Foothills Art Center in Golden (809 15th Street, 80401); the show is open daily through May 31. 303-279-3922, www.foothillsartcenter.org |
