Happy hour is a marvelous invention.It’s the chance to relax at the end of the day, have a drink and some appetizers, and gain a much-needed attitude adjustment. The only problem is knowing where to go; even with a discount it’s tough to part with your paycheck. Lucky for you we’ve found a few establishments worthy of your cash.
For sheer volume, the award goes to BB O’Reilley’s, a fairly new tavern in Littleton. Not content with just an hour, or perhaps two, the generous folks at BB’s devote a large portion of the day to helping you get happy. They run drink specials from noon to six, and again from nine to midnight. They don’t have any discounted appetizers, but they run a monthly special on one of their grill items.
If you’d like something to nibble with your drinks, there are several restaurants serving up gourmet food at fast-casual prices. The California Cafe’s tapas menu features such delights as Buffalo sliders, herbed garlic fries, flatbreads, Thai BBQ spareribs, and truffle mac and cheese, all priced at $5 or less.
If your cravings run south of the border, head to Lime in Greenwood Village. Every Tuesday you’ll find tacos for just $1.00. If you’re still not sated, you can shift to Croc’s Mexican Grill. On Wednesdays, they’ve got 99-cent tacos and $1.99 margaritas from 4 p.m. to close.
If a slice is more the order of the day, Abo’s
Pizza in Centennial has your back. Swing by for $1.00 slices and drafts Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
