Get Psychedelic - This is your last chance to catch the Denver Art Museum’s exhibit on rock-and-roll posters from the ’60s. “The Psychedelic Experience: Rock Posters from the San Francisco Bay Area, 1965 to 1971,” is on display through July 26. 720-865-5000 Park It - State parks have a wealth of activities available during the summer. Roxborough State Park in Littleton, with its red rock formations, is a great place to spend the day. In July they’ve got day hikes, moonlight hikes, bird walks, and even an outdoor concert on the 22nd. A park pass is required for entry; day passes are $6 and annual passes are $60. If you’d rather head to Rocky Mountain National Park, note that national parks (www.nps.gov) are offering free admission for the weekend of July 18 and 19. Go Scandinavian - Celebrate romance and the Scandinavian tradition of midsummer festivals with a couples class on July 25 at the Kitchen Table Cooking School in Greenwood Village. Prepare a smorgasbord, salmon, and aebleskivers, while you enjoy some wine. |
